AYUDH Americas Youth Summit 2024: Code of Conduct


Our Mission
AYUDH is dedicated to empowering young people globally, fostering compassion, solidarity, and a commitment to peace and sustainability. As the youth wing of Embracing the World®, we invite our members to live out these values in every action.

Purpose of the Code of Conduct

  • To foster a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable atmosphere at all AYUDH events.

  • To establish clear and kind expectations for behavior, promoting respectful and positive interactions.

  • To guide attendees, leaders, and staff in nurturing a supportive community.

Expectations for Conduct

  • Participation: We encourage you to fully engage in scheduled activities and contribute positively to discussions and events.

  • Respect: Please show respect to all participants, organizers, and guests. Any form of harassment—physical, verbal, or otherwise—is prohibited.

  • Integrity: Respect everyone’s views and possessions; mistreatment or theft of personal property is not acceptable.

  • Communication: We encourage raising your hand to speak during sessions, listening attentively to others, and responding with consideration.

  • Safety: Please stay within designated areas and adhere to all safety guidelines. If you are under 18, do not stay out late at night without adult supervision, and always remain within the defined event boundaries.

Prohibited Items

  • The possession of alcohol, drugs, tobacco, weapons, and fireworks is strictly prohibited at all summit events.

Expectations of Parents and Guardians

  • Support the summit's leadership and policies.

  • Encourage your child to live by the values of AYUDH and act responsibly.

  • Please connect with organizers should you have any concerns or questions.

Justice and Respect Pledge

  • By participating, you pledge to uphold this Code of Conduct, respecting all members of the AYUDH community and contributing to a harmonious environment.

Attendance and Behavior

  • Regular attendance is recommended to enhance personal and collective development.

  • Please refrain from disruptive behavior or abusive language to maintain a positive and respectful environment for everyone.

Acknowledgment by Attendees and Parents

  • By signing this document, both youth participants and their parents commit to following these guidelines and understand the importance of upholding them.

Closing Invocation

  • Let us all strive to embody the ideals of AYUDH, promoting peace and unity through our actions.
