As of 2016, AYUDH has made it a priority to become apart of the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Agenda for 2030. We believe young people play an extremely important role in accomplishing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which aim to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all. The United Nations has called on governments, private sector, and non-governmental organizations like us to carry out innovative solutions.
AYUDH serves as a frequent member organization to the Youth ECOSOC Forum, which provides a platform for youth to engage in a dialogue with Member States and share ideas on innovation, collective action and solutions to global problems. Each year AYUDH convenes at the annual youth summit to discuss current issues plaguing North, Central, and South America and the discussions result in the launching of three initiatives for the year, each surrounding one of the 17 SDGs.
